About the Pool
Wedgwood Swim Pool is a private community swimming pool in Northeast Seattle that was founded in 1964. We offer a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere, a caring and safety-minded staff, and high-quality swim programs. Wedgwood Pool opens in mid-May and closes for the season in mid-September. The pool is open 7 days per week during its summer season.
Our programs and activities include open swim time and family time, swim lessons, youth swim team, adult lap swimming, adult swim team, water aerobics, youth water polo, a diving board and basketball hoop, table tennis, teen nights, social events, and the famous water show. We also have picnic tables and grills for your summer picnic, and comfy lounge chairs for reading poolside.
Most pool activities require a membership to the Wedgwood Swim Pool. Families desiring a membership must join the waitlist. The waitlist is long, so you should expect a long wait after you sign up. In 2024 people waited 15 years before being offered membership. Membership sales vary from year to year. We are working on ways to shorten the wait time while maintaining the pool experience for members.
Wedgwood Pool offers some activities to both members and non-members. Non-members can register for group swim lessons (which run throughout the summer), the community swim team, and the youth waterpolo team.
